Happened across this restaurant while doing a detour because of construction. I had heard about it previously but hadn't been before. It was about 1145am on a weekday and was sat immediately. Waiter came and took our order promptly. When he returned with our drinks, we were ready to order.
I ordered the lunch special cheese enchiladas with Chile con carne. Came with beans, rice and tortillas. The seasoning on the beans was just right, not too salty not too bland. The Chile con carne on the cheese enchiladas was a perfect! Consistency was nailed and the flavor was spot on. It came with two enchiladas and they had the right texture of authentic enchiladas and the cheese was melted just so that it wasn't all over the plate but it wasn't dry inside.
Overall loved it and would definitely go back!! -

Tonight our party of seven braved the crazy 281 construction traffic and met at this restaurant located right past 1604. There were very few cars in the parking lot and only three tables in the dark, cool, large space. We were given menus and also gave our drink orders. The menu is large with a lot of Tex-Mex favorites but nothing stood out as unusual or intriguing. Tortilla chips and salsa that are free at each table we're ok, but forgettable. We gave our orders of taco salads, caldo, shrimp fajitas and beef fajitas for two.
The food arrived after a reasonable time, but alas my taco salad protein was wrong and had to be sent back. My partner's chicken caldo was tepid instead of hot with a huge piece of chicken and bone in the center - made it tough to eat. When the correct taco salad arrived, the meat was cold and the salad bland and uninspired.
Prices are on par with other Mexican restaurants in the area. Service was fine if a little forgetful but while we don't have any major complaints we don't think the experience or food particularly memorable. Total for an imported beer, soda, taco salad and caldo was $30.56 including tip. -

Super disappointed in our most recent visit.
Walked in and requested outside seating for 8. Was told it would be 45 minutes.
We see them move a party of 8+ from their table inside to outside and told us it was because they were keeping the same server... ok. The hostess or manager said that they were short on servers due to call ins, which is understandable.
So we continue to wait. We go to the bar to order some drinks while we are waiting. No exaggerating we waited 20 minutes before I went up to one of the bartenders to ask how long before I could order a drink. She looked st me dead in the eye and said "don't know ask the other girl I'm working service" and pointed to an area where she was making drinks for the restaurant. So I ask the other girl and she says "I can't tell you when you can order because I'm busy making a big order and we are out of cups so I can't start that order until I get cups".
The bar was a complete MESS. At this point we decide to just wait to be seated since ordering a drink was impossible.... it has now been over an hour and no table. We decided to leave and go down the road since if it took that long to seat us and even try and order a drink, we could only imagine how long food would take.
This was not just the outcome of two servers calling in. They seemed severely understaffed and probably need to order more cups apparently. Extremely disappointed because we bragged about this place to the friends we took to eat there. -

The perfect Saturday breakfast! The food is absolutely delicious! They have authentic flour tortillas to go with any taco of your choosing, serve the best food! The staff are very attentive every time. Thanks Pericos staff for getting our morning off to a great start! Oh and the coffee is delicious

I have had decent service here most of the times I came here, but not always the best.
There are lunch specials from 11am-2:30pm which I prefer to the breakfast specials. Most lunch plates come with Spanish rice, refried beans, and two homemade tortillas. My mom often orders one of the enchilada plates and likes those!
I tried the Tacos Ricos which comes with 5 mini street tacos since my brother loves it, but I don't think it was worth the money. It came with steak, chorizo, onion, and cilantro with a side of a grilled jalapeno and grilled onions and lime wedges. It DOES NOT come with Spanish rice like other lunch plates because it was more of a special entree. I found this order not very filling but still tasty.
Also we always get free chips and salsa when coming here. If you run out, you can just ask for more! I also do appreciate the $3 house margarita specials which are on Mondays as far as I know.
